Christ Centered Fellowship

The purpose of CCF is to be used by God through equipping His people for His service. The ministry’s focus is to share the love of Christ to the students of VCU, to bring awareness to the need for missions around the world, and to equip students to go out to the nations. Along with its focus for global impact, CCF desires to establish close relationships and friendships with other organizations on the campus of VCU. Its outreach is not only for work outside of the institution, but to use its heart and influence to work together with other organizations to better the community of Richmond.
What We Believe
CCF believes in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is the creator of the universe and He created all things that exist with a greater purpose, for His Name. The purpose of humanity is to worship the Creator and to live their lives according to His perfect standards through the help of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Salvation is not obtained through good works because humans are totally depraved due to sin (Ephesians 2:8, Romans 3:23). Therefore, salvation is a gift ONLY obtained through faith in Jesus Christ through the conviction of sins, repentance of sins and forgiveness of sins through the atoning blood of Jesus. (1 John 1:9, John 3:16, Romans 6:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. John 14:6

What We Believe
CCF believes in the mighty transformative power of the blood of Jesus, granting freedom and authority in Jesus' name to the believer to walk according to the ways of God.

"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." Ephesians 4:24

We believe in walking according to the Spirit, living a life that is holy and pleasing to God. We are to obey his commands and grow in love and fellowship with God and fellow believers. Jesus told the disciples when he would ascend to Heaven, they were to make disciples of all nations. He promised the Holy Spirit would come to encourage and counsel all believers, to convict man of sin and to strengthen the body of Christ. (Romans 12:1-2, Matthew 28:18-20, John 14:15-17, 26)

We believe in the second coming of Jesus, and that it is nearer now than ever before! Jesus spoke of His second coming, and he is coming for a pure bride, a church that has made herself ready. We believe in strengthening and equipping believers with the Gospel of the Kingdom, that they may be able to stand in great trial and stand firm, unswervingly in their faith to the very end. (Revelation 1:7, Joel 2:31-32, Matthew 16:27, Titus 2:13, Matthew 24:27-30)

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful."
Hebrews 10:23

A great way to get to know the fellowship is to come out and join us for one of our weekly meetings and try to make one of our events throughout the semester. Since we rely on VCU's Student Commons and Activities building for much of our meeting locations, the locations and times may vary slightly.
